Dave Armstrong

Dave is responsible for delivering a new place strategy for the group, ensuring a clear understanding of the places that are strategically important, identifying where and what to build, and shaping ongoing strategic investment in homes and communities. Alongside this, he oversees Strategic Asset Management, Regeneration, Research, Sustainability, Innovation, and Business Services, which includes market rent, student rent, For-Profit Management, and Gasway. He is also accountable for Hopestead.

Previously, Dave held several senior roles within Flagship, including Chief Financial Officer (2012–2023) and Head of IT (2009–2012), following a career in Financial Services at GRE, AXA, and Aviva, as well as time as a consultant with Arthur Anderson.

A key achievement in his career includes securing Flagship’s first public bond at 1.85% fixed for 40 years, providing long-term financial stability for the organisation.
